Hi everyone! I have been restoring radios electrically and have restored bakelite cases before but not a wooden one. I believe that the wood that this radio was made of Mahogany. I'm not sure what I am doing when it comes to refinishing so any help would be appreciated! I have read about using a toner and laquer clead coat but am not sure about what all to consider in order to achieve a quality finish. The case had been stripped at one point in its life and I would like to bring back the original finish for the radio. I have attached pictures of the cabinet and of one I found online with a finish that I believe to look similar to the original color. Please help and explain the process to be since I have little idea of what to do and don't want to ruin the cabinet. I have already completed the electrical restoration so this will be the last step.
