This nice Clinton tombstone had some serious cabinet issues. I picked it up for basically nothing, i knew it had plenty of potential, big colorful dial, tuning eye and a decent looking cabinet design. I mite add that doing this type of work builds experience in veneering and fabrication of new wood panels. I did not want to go back exactly like factory so I did a little customizing on this set with a 1/4 inch raised top, and exotic wood veneers, Satinwood from east India, Australian Queensland walnut on front panel and top outer edge strips at a angle. American figured walnut for the sides, looks better that factory IMHO. Grain filled, sealed and several coats of a nice satin lacquer. Now I have to get going on the chassis, i have 4 knobs coming and I need to find a tone control switch for the far right side you can see its missing. Thanks for looking Fred Taylor

I never get tired of seeing these basket case-to-beauty projects. Very nice, Fred.
