I picked up a nice little Fada 700 radio. Very nice condition but the cabinet needed cleaning and was wondering if anyone could suggest how to bring out the shine and luster and possibly what to use? I cleaned it with a very mild Blue Dawn liquid. I don't want it to spray it with a lacquer, but I never worked with a cabinet like this before. I noticed on some of the restored Fada's the cabinets look beautiful.

Any suggestions I'd appreciate.
Thanks very much

The 700 models were Catalin, so you might search here for that term, to see what can be used for cleaning.

Don't spray any type of coating on it, or you will destroy it's value.

Here's mine, bought and electronically restored some years back. Sorry, but I don't remember what I used to polish the cabinet.
