Evening,<P> What have others done to clean the I.F. coils on the AK breadboard radios? I am refering to the insulated wires around the form. My coils have stains. Any suggestions?<P> Thanks,<BR> Dave<P>------------------<BR>

I advise against cleaning. You may damage the cotton covering on the wire. It is usually pretty fragile after 80 years. All I do is brush the dust off with a soft paint brush. The stains are part of its history.<P>------------------<BR>

I do agrre Ken. I did however take a soft 2' brush and dip it into alcohol and brush the coils gently. Did at least hide a few of them. <P> Thanks,<BR> Dave<P>------------------<BR>
