Hi, I just bought a Jackson 715 dynamic tube tester at an auction. It seems to work well and is in good condition. So I’m happily going through my tube equipment, testing my tubes, but there are a couple of tubes that don’t appear on the roll sheet. The most glaring omission is the 6BQ5. Is there an online resource that can give me the numbers and letters to punch in, to test these tubes?

The Jackson 561 and the 115 are the same tube testers as the 715 in different boxes. Can someone who owns one of those and who has an up-to-date roll sheet tell me the numbers I and letters I should be pressing for the 6BQ5.?

Here's a link to some Jackson 648 settings that may be applicable for your tester...

https://db.audioasylum.com/mhtml/m.html ... orum%3DALL

from the link above.. "... the 6BQ5/EL84 is as follows:

Fil.= 6.3, D circuit=123, E circuit=B569, Plate test=15WZ "

and some background information that might be helpful from another member regarding the 715,115 and how the 648 settings may be compatible for your 715...

Thanks but those letters and numbers don’t sound right. Here’s what my tester looks like.

The 648 is significantly different.

I recall some rumors that the 634 was similar enough it could be used, with some adaptation, but I don't recall the details now.

I've got the chart scanned for a 561, which is applicable, however each page is fairly high resolution and weighs in at 80MB a pop. (far to large to email.) I never did get around to cleaning it up.

In the mean time the 6BQ5 should be attached. Let me run the scans I have through some conversion, and I can at least post the raw scans somewhere to download later today/tomorrow.

See the Jackson561 Folder, there's two different charts there if you want them.

One is mine, the other is one I found somewhere else I can't recall the details of now.

David

I caution it *is* mediafire, I'd use an adblocker, but it is free...

Oh wow! This is great- just what I needed. The older, more worn looking one looks like it is more up to date. I think I might bring it into photoshop and clean it up and put it into a continuous roll. Then I’ll post it back onto that site so people can get it printed out at Staples.
