Hi everyone. I’m finally getting my SHF7 working and have had a heck of a time getting it to run at speed. I found out today from VOM that the motor shaft is supposed to have a spring over the shaft to drive the turrets. Does anyone know where I can get one? VOM doesn’t have any and suggested I try some forums or find a RP205 for parts.
Thanks in advance for any information. If someone has a rp205 with this motor, would you be willing to measure the diameter of the spring on the shaft with a caliper or micrometer?

I'm sorry I don't have an accurate way to measure it, but it looks like the type of spring you may be able to find at the hardware store. I've removed them to be able to disassemble the motors for cleaning and have taken them off and put them back on by holding the rotor and "unscrewing" them with my fingers.

Mr Google says that Record Changer RP-190A-1 also employs…
spring 76749

Listed here and shown in this 1951 Canadian service manual as SLEEVE 76749
spring sleeve for motor shaft
http://pacifictv.ca/schematics/rca15edata.pdf

also found in US 1952 Automatic Record Changer 930409 Series.

Thanks all for the help. I found someone with a bad motor and they are sending me the spring. Can’t wait to get this running!
