Thanks for any help I can get.

Hello and welcome to ARF Phonos.

I assume this is an RCA SHF-7?

If so, your model is from late 1957 to early 1958.
Chassis/amp is found in Sams Photofact reference: 395-11

The record changer is an RCA RP-205, found in
Sams 358-10

Send me a PM with your email, if you want the schematics.
BTW, what level of expertise do you have in vintage
electronics restoration ?

Do some searches on this forum for threads that deal with
your model.
Same for the RP-205 record changer.
When ready, ask more questions as you go !

Also, post photos of your console.

There should be a code date stamped on the model / tube chart label, on the amplifier chassis and speakers. a number like 742 would indicate the 42nd week of 1957.

Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for. Yes it's an RCAVictor with the legs in very good shape. It makes a very loud buzzing a little bit after you plug it in. I have repaired an old pinball machine years ago and modern circuit boards on a flatscreen tv(bad caps) and he washing machine bad relay with the help of you tube and forums of course. I repaired industrial machinery for over 30 years.
The date code is 739, so that means it's a 57 built in September?
After reading forums and learning a little bit about old tube amps I decided to buy it and start a new challenge.

If its a loud Buzzing/Humming sound its likely it has bad main capacitors, when you open it up you will see some tall metal cylinders they are the main smoothing caps.

Wow, how's that for a shot in the dark. I was within three weeks of the actual date.
