Anyone familiar enough with collaro changers and 57-59 Magnavox consoles? Berkshire specifically.

My console had a 60s Voice of Music changer in it, so I'm hoping to swap in a proper Collaro that I have a friend rebuilding now. The trouble is we're not sure if I have a VoM motorboard, or if mine is factory.

It bears striking resemblance to an original example someone sent me as pictured on the left side of the picture below..

Mine cabinet interior is ivory on the right. Also notice the board rear edge is exactly color matched brown on the back (circled)...

Everything about mine (SEEMS) factory to me??? We're wondering if I can drop a collaro changer in or if I'm going to have to build a new board.

Did Collaro changers have various configurations in this time period/would magnavox have made any changes to the cabinet motorboard?

Thanks!

What is model number on Collaro you are going to use? That's what you'll need to determine motorboard. Try it, but I don't believe the VM motorboard will be suitable.

It looks to me like the motorboard on the right was originally for a Collaro but had an additional cut-out made at the top left of the picture to accommodate the V-M. The mounting spots for a Collaro still seem to be there. I bet a Collaro fits just fine.

I think David is spot on.
You can also see some other areas where new holes
were drilled and a record changer base spring mount
hole was added to the original.
