Picked up three rather rough 3W1's the other day. Of course no
keys were included. These have double sided keys so have been
unable to pick the locks. Anyone know a trick? Would rather not
drill the locks.

The chrome on these is rough so will try sanding the cases as smooth
as possible then paint. If anyone has done this, any tips? TIA
Steve

Through the years, I've had numerous 3W1's, often found without keys. I've never found anyone who could pick those locks. Yet, there are key collectors out there who may have the key you need. Occasionally, on Ebay, I see the keys offered.

The key number should be stamped or embossed in the lock. Get that number and post it here. I have about a hundred of those keys, but since there are thousands of combinations, it is a slim chance I have the keys you need. It's worth a try! Cheers, Russie

Thanks Ken. A good resource to know about! Was hoping all three
were keyed alike. No such luck.

Here are the numbers in case you have any of these Russie;
S344, S774, S042

Steve, I found one of the keys, an S-344. PM your address and I'll send it to you. For the other two I have a key which is one number off, but I doubt they will work. Cheers, Russie
