I'm having a problem with getting the right needle for my turntable. I have tried several different styluses to no avail. The stylus that was in it was broken off and had no markings so I've been unable to find the correct stylus. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What you've given us is basically--'I have a 1968 Chevy and it needs a set of spark plugs'. That's not enough info. We need the name/model of the cartridge the needle was mounted in. Post a picture of the cartridge if you can.

And it's possible the model number of your console will hit on google or ebay.

Welcome to the phono forum.

YES, please post a photo of the record changer.

This era of Magnavox would probably be a W800 series
Magnavox record changer.
They only used one style of stereo cartridge as far
as I know.

The tonearm may not lift high enough for you to take
a photo, and you may need to remove the changer
from the console.

So I've Google searched the model number and the serial number both separately and together to no avail. For some reason I cannot upload my photos either. It tells me they're too big. It's a Magnavox Astro Sonic Micromatic model number: 1P3605 serial number: 296882 cabinet color: PECN. Maybe someone can find the correct information?

Resize your photos to the parameters that are
stated by the forum when you try to post a photo.

I believe max file size is 256 Kb and pixels 800 x 800 or less.

My camera only drops to 2066x2066 as the smallest pixel size.

Good show.
Info follows, but be aware that if someone broke off
the plastic stylus (needle) housing, a small piece may remain in the cartridge
housing.
I recently serviced a Magnavox changer where this happened.
If the new stylus doesn't slip into the cartridge housing easily, you'll need to pull
the changer to remove the broken piece of plastic.

You have a Magnavox W800 series changer that uses this
cartridge:

Your stylus would be this one :

Good you have it. Just for information. A google search of needle magnavox 1p3605 brought up an entry leading to this.

Thanks everyone for the information. Once I get the correct stylus will let y'all know how it went. Also I already removed that little piece that was still in the cartridge. One of my twins broke it off while daddy made breakfast. Changer worked great until he got into it. Anybody have any idea the value of this model by the way? I think my wife got it for a steal.
