Hello
My grandfather had an Electroacustic (ELAC) XA100. Looking at pictures, there is no sign of the Miracord logo that I’ve seen others like this have. Instead it just has a larger XA100 in its place. Other than that it looks the same.

Can anyone tell me about this? Is it an earlier model - before they took the miracord name? I don’t know the time line here so maybe it’s newer?

Just looking for some info on this and if anyone has any idea how much these generally cost these days.

Thank you for any information.

Great photos !
Here's some info from radiomuseum.org

Yours appears to be the US export model.

The Sams photofact database reference is also given,
in case you want service information.

So I checked that link and it shows the miracord version. There is a difference between the pictures I posted and the link’s pictures - mine says XA100 where that model (and every other picture I’ve been able to find) says Miracord on the badge.

Since this has no mention of “Miracord” anywhere on it im wondering if it’s an older version of the xa100?

There's not enough detail in the photo, but it looks like it might have a General Electric cartridge in it. The red button on the top of the tone arm is the tipoff.

Is there another part of it I should take a picture of?
The main question is still about the different model badges (that’s probably not what it’s called) between mine and all the others (Miracord) I’ve seen.

Looks like the record changer featured in the film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975)

Yes. There’s another post on these forums where that is discussed and they mention it is the electroacustic “Miracord” xa100.
This seems to be the same record player except it’s not Miracord. As the other pictures show, the miracord version has a Miracord badge in the place of this record player’s “xa100” badge.
A previous poster mentioned the miracord is the export for USA version. So perhaps this is the original (non export) version.

I’m looking for some knowledge about the badges and versions.
