Hello,
I have recently finished repairing an M100J for a customer. Amp and selector unit updated with new capacitors and resistors and latch solenoid was disabled. Unit was working fine but in final testing to ensure every letter/number selection was working I noticed an issue. As I progressed from A through F I started noticing I was having to press the letter number sequence several times to get it to fire. Which I didn't have to before. Now I get just one selection and have to turn off power and back on to get another selection. Any ideas what is happening and how to fix? Supposed to deliver to customer tomorrow.
Thanks!
Rudy

sounds like you didnt do a good repair lol

try cleaning the pins of the big jones plug and twisting them slighty to make sure they make good contact in the socket

Have you replaced the selenium rectifier? If not what is the voltage at the output?

If voltage gets much below 25v then things won't work properly. Had a similar problem with my R. Voltage was at 15V. Replaced the rectifier and added a dropping resistor cleared it up.

I have seen it suggested also that if you replace that rectifier to add a fuse to the input. I believe since silicon rectifiers will short in failure and take out the transformer.

Do you remember what value resistor you used? I'm recapping the Amp & receiver from a C and also need to do this.

Looks like I used a 120ohm resistor. Looks like it is either a 3W or 5W.
