Nice machine! It looks great! It has been many years since I had an AMI of that era. If it is having a selection problem it might be the keyboard. Seems like it was a ladder electrical arrangement of some sort. I would sometimes find a button not fully down on the switch or something like that. You probably have a manual for your machine but if not they can be a lot of help. Have fun!

If a button pops off unplug right away. A dab of super glue will work good putting it on. Something burns out when a button pops off. Cant remember what it was sadly.
