Anyone have any experience correcting the control problems on this turntable? Non functioning tracking buttons. Speed sets 33 or 45, Maintains speed, cues and plays. I just can’t get the tracking control to function. Perhaps someone has dealt with this before and can point me to the problem area on the control board.

You might try at VinylEngine; someone there would probably know.

Found it! One of the leads to the 5v lamp was either broke or too oxidized to carry enough current. This elaborate system uses a bulb and photo resistors to control the tone arm tracking. Also the capacitors on the board (Rohr) were way out of spec. Worse than some old tube radios I’ve worked on. I’ve come to the conclusion that the Germans over engineer everything, then the Danes double down on that and make it artsy. Just Kidding, it really is a nice turntable.

Wait till you need a new stylus/cartridge. If you can find one that is in good shape it will be expensive. I have one of those turntables but the cartridge is bad. So it sits on a shelf looking pretty.
