He's a local boy. Born with a guitar in his hand. Started touring with B.B. King before he was a teenager.

Joe B is the real deal. Kenny Wayne Shephard I saw 10-12 years ago is very good but goes in different musical directions quite often and is not a singer. Johnny Lang quite good too and was a hot performer as a young teen but now just seems to be settling in. Saw Chris Duarte in a club of 300 people 5 years ago. Great guitarist but many times seemed to play too fast and not giving each note a chance. Gary Clark Jr is the "real deal" too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVtr0xg-V0E

I've been to New York State 6 times over the past few years, last time was July of last year. I always wanted to get to the Bonamassa guitar shop, but never did... I recently heard that it had closed it's doors for good. I also really like Gary Clarke jr. he is a great player... Got to see and talk with Keb Mo' last year in Orlando at "The Palace" what an amazing player and very nice man.
It was one of the highlights of my year, next to meeting John & Jean Goller in Florida and spending the day with them.
Anyway, sorry to get off topic...
Cheers!!

Summertime by Janis Joplin. It's Saturday night and "Stuck In The Psychedelic Era" is on the radio here.

No recent activity here, so will say not a song, but an album: Peter Gunn by Ted Nash and his Orchestra, Crown Records CLP 5101, in GLORIOUS Monaural. 50s TV crime jazz is still hot sounding. RW

The Peter Gunn series is probably best remembered today for its music, especially the popular "Peter Gunn Theme", which won an Emmy Award and two Grammys for Henry Mancini and subsequently has been performed and recorded by many jazz, rock, and blues musicians.
