Hello all, I would Like to say "Thank You" for all nice things that have been mentioned about me in this forum. As you can see, I'm new here, and I understand "newby's" don't usually get acceptance for awhile, but I'm hoping my contributions to youtube are a testament as to what I'm about. I will try to contribute here as much as possible, but making video's takes a lot of spare time. On average, 1 hour of video is usually 1 weeks work. So between everything else that's going on in everyday life, time is an issue.

Thank You
Paul

Hi Paul,

Welcome.

I was enjoying your YouTube videos on Panadaptors and Hammarlund 120 receiver. I also have both of those items and they are real keepers.

Looking forward to more great information from the Lab!

Tim

Hi Paul and welcome..

I was tipped off to your Youtube channel a few weeks ago here on the forum. I think I have now watched pretty much every video you have posted. You are obviously very skilled and your lab is nirvana for those of us who love vintage gear, which is pretty much everybody here on the forum. I especially liked the wall mounted variac system you put together. Very cool indeed!!! Keep up the great work, I'm looking forward to your future videos.

Larry

2 direct questions:
Where did you get the money for all that?

Where did you learn electronics?

Thanks Larry! I'm glad your enjoying the Video's. My other half likes Titanic stuff, she says it (the dim bulb tester with the Variac) looks like something out of that radio room.

I'm working on the next video, this one is taking some time.

Stop by the channel anytime!

When in the Americas do as the Americans...... or you say soleder I say sodder lets call the whole thing off!

All good fun. I'm really impressed with your knowledge and attention to detail. These days those seem to be attributes that are hard to find.

Glad to see you here. I viewed the Yaesu FT-900 Repair and the Knight 625 repair. I built one of these back when I managed a Radio Shack in the early 70's and they were Allied-Radio Shack for a short time. I too would like to know a brief history of your education in this field, were you self taught?

Hi Lou, thanks for the welcome! The FT-1000 Video seems to get a lot of interest as well.
As mentioned earlier, I may do a bio "Video" in the future.

Ah, I meant the FT-1000! Also enjoyed the Stromberg-Carlson sweep alignment. That's an awesome set up you have, that guy was lucky to have found you and bring the FT-1000 back to what it should be. There are a lot of hacks out there. I know my limitations and would not even remove the cover on that radio
