 Post subject: Brandes headphones

Newbie here I have a pair of brandes headphones can I adapted him to fit in a regular phone jack for a radio they have 3 plugs on them. Plz help thank u jim

I am sure someone will come along with bit more knowledge, but if I am not mistaken those are not really plugs, they are lugs that would fit into clamps on the radio.

Seeing as you say there are 3 I am assuming you have a left, right and ground. If you look at a modern headphone jack you will see the plug has black stripes. Those stripes separate out the left, right and ground.

So I would assume it would be possible to wire it up to a modern plug. I am not sure how much power was needed to drive those old headsets though. The modern jack your wanting to plug into might not have the power needed to run them.
