I would like to test some UX-120 tubes on my Hickok 600a . The voltage would be the same as 99 tubes, but I haven't found any test data for them. Does anyone have that or know where to find it?

Lucky my Hickok came with the addendum books besides the roll chart. Otherwise alot of these prewar tubes would be a problem.

If we can look up "20" on the charts and have it apply to the -120 tube, is it also true that to test a -199, we can use the "99" settings?
Thanks.

Thanks. Yep, on a 299 too... FWIW, in a pinch a '99 can be used as a sub with reduced output power... B+ and bias changed to suit... Chas

Ok, thanks - just tried it on the small pile of 199s I have, using the settings for 99 given by the documentation for my tester. It says to use only 65v on the plate, but isn't the 99 a 90v tube? I ask because some of them show not-so-good at 65 but very good at 90.
My tester is the Heathkit TC-2, which I know is pretty pedestrian...but it's rebuilt and accurate within its design limitations, and all I have right now.

I have NRI-69 tube tester and the manual for NRI-69 instructs to use load 65 for X-99 and its variants. Does it mean 65V plate voltage? The data below, says that the plate voltage for UX-199 is 22-45V. If that's true, load 65 should not mean 65 volts.
