Hi there,
I am looking for a list, hopefully with pictures, of Panasonic transistor radios of the 50s and 60s including those made under the name National Panasonic.
Thanks for any tip.

I would suggest getting some Transistor Radio Guides, published for collectors.

I use Transistor Radios by Bunis, and two others of the same title by Norman Smith, and again by David and Robert Lane. There's also "Made In Japan Transistor Radios", by Handy.

Additionally, you can get SAM's TSM's (Transistor Service Manuals) at places like eBay, which have a picture for each model, although only in B/W. They list Panasonic as Matsushita. Look for volumes 13, 16-21, and 24.

Matsushita • National • National Panasonic were prolific manufacturers of tube and transistor radios.

I doubt very much that a definitive list exists... :)

Some here, 1/4 way down page.

There is a lot of information on National/Panasonic transistor radios on the Radiomuseum website:

https://www.radiomuseum.org/m/panasonic_j_en_1.html

The website wasn't working yesterday, but is back online today. - Mark

A big thanks to all who chipped in with advice and sorry for the delay in getting back.
I found it at www5b.biglobe.ne.jp posted by Greg. The model is National Panasonic R-245 and by googling it I saw a few more pictures of it which show two different versions, one covering 3.9-12MHz, the other around 5.9-16MHz, Mine was the second one.
Radiomuseum has indeed tons of info about the subject but I did not see anything about this one, however, I only checked the first ten pages which seem to cover those years.

The above link is a pdf service manual.
It's a 19.4MB file and may take a few minutes to download.

I also was unable to open the PDF. I've downloaded and opened it a couple of times and all I get is an Adobe advertisement.

I get the progress bar when downloading...

And then it is fully downloaded...

But all that opens is this:

Edit: It's ten individual pdfs inside a "Mothership" pdf. Lol

Now that I've installed the Adobe reader, I can use it to open your files. I wonder what is protecting it from being opened by other PDF readers?

This is the only PDF file I've ever encountered that my normal PDF reader can't open correctly.

I've just downloaded this PDF, out of curiosity, and it opens fine using Acrobat 7 Pro. You might need to unblock the file (as per your screenshot showing the file properties) , if you haven't already done so.

Thank you for trying to figure this out. I just made that change, but it will still not open with PDF Vista. I'll guess I'll just keep the Adobe on the computer for now.

What's a PDF Portfolio?

In the last few years, I've only encountered these a couple of times.

They want you to have the best experience, so second best won't do.

Thanks for that link, Greg!
Tons of Japanese radio models, but missing a few Rincans, and at least one Sony, so maybe not so definitive.
