What wattage should this replacement be? It is 1meg.

1,000 ohms

On that schematic, "M" means 1,000, and "Meg" = 1,000,000

That resistor generates the negative bias for the 47---somewhere in the range of 15 to 20 volts

P =E^2 / R
Assume 20 volts:

P = 400 / 1000 = 0.4 watt. Use a 1-watt part minimum
