I seem to have a dial cord that is slipping any thoughts on adjustment? or does the dial cord need to be replaced. Turning the tuning knob it slips. The tuning shaft has a nut on the end tightening does not seem to help.

Make sure all the pulleys that the cord is routed over are free and moving easily .Sometimes they get bound up . Given that all seems well and the cord has stretched you might go to the main pulley and find the end of the cord that is mounted to the pulley with a spring and carefully remove the spring and keeping the line taught tie an overhand knot in the line as close to the spring as you can and then reattach the spring to the pulley as before. You might have to move the spring back a hole if there are the typical 2-3 holes. But after doing this run the dial back and forth a few times to balance the tension out. Good luck. Henry

As I was checking the steel dial cord that controls the movie dial it was frayed and then broke. Where can I get new steel braid line to replace measured at 0.8MM ? Its a two piece metal braided wire over the tuning condenser wheel. Thank you.

Going with the Corrosion-Resistant Wire Rope-Not for Lifting Non sparking, Braided, Phosphor Bronze, 7 x 7, 1/32" Diameter at McMaster-Carr. Can someone provide me with an image of the cable routing on the movie film cylinder? I want to ensure I have it on correctly. Thank you.

Does anyone have a picture of the bronze dial cord routing from the pulley to the movie dial wheel?

I think I have what you want. I had to shrink it way down to be able to post it here. You should be able to enlarge it on your computer . If not pm me your e-mail address and I will send it that way. GL Henry

Removed the tuning capacitor and cleaned in my Ultrasonic unit. Let dry for several days and re-assembled. The radio works when I touch the 6Q7 tube, and has no selectivity one channel comes in. Any thoughts?
