Hello Fred,
I was looking at my zenith model 715 tonight
and noticed that my Speaker is in good shape so It will not need be painted but my chassis will have to be painted for sure Since mice used my radio as their nest.

Here is a photo of my zenith

Hello poulsbobill,
Well I am not Fred but if you look at this photo of Fred's radio you will notice a thin piece of plywood.
Anyway, that called the baffle board and here is a link to a good earlier post with one our members called Radio fixer he shows some great steps how to install the new grille cloth.
