I'm very sorry to hear that. Leigh was very knowledgeable and his presence and inputs will be sorely missed.
R.I.P. Leigh, our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Norm, I am deeply saddened to hear this. I appreciated his technical knowledge and willingness to answer a very difficult question. I met him at our Mid Atlantic Antique Radio Club meetings from time to time.
Sympathy to his family, he will be missed for sure.

This is very sad news Norm. I knew that Leigh had some health issues.
What a great loss to the radio community. Greg.

RIP Leigh. He had helped me quite a bit via PM with my AK10. Truly a loss to the radio community, and of course to his family.

Sorry to hear of Leigh's passing. It had been a while since he had posted and I hoped his health was not an issue. My condolences and sympathy go out to Leigh's family.

Translated Mayan Hieroglyphics in his spare time.
LOL! Somehow, this doesn't surprise me.
RIP Leigh.

A major contributor to ARF over the years, and one whose knowledge spanned a wide range of subjects in addition to radio and electronics. We will miss Leigh. Condolences to his wife.

One of those mysterious but talented folks we encounter in life. I don't ever recall hearing of his military service and the obituary says nothing of his machinist skills. May he rest in peace.

A big loss to our community. Leigh was a great help to me as we were both collectors of early AK radios. He will be missed by many. My condolences to his wife and family.

My first interaction with Leigh was back in 2007 when he asked me to test his Mayan date calculator. This was just after the release of Windows Vista and he wanted to be sure his calculator would run on it. His calculator site is still up but the last update was in 2010. http://www.mayadate.org/RIP Leigh, you will be missed.
