I have successfully aligned the IF on my Schaub Lorenz E103, however I’m having a problem setting up the dial with oscillator/input adjustment.

For example, referring to the attachments for MW you need to set the dial and the signal generator to 555khz and 1500khz and achieve max output. I simply cannot get that range. At max adjustment the 555khz is peaked when the dial pointer is at about 650khz and the 1500khz when the dial pointer is at about 1350khz.

SW1,2 & 3 are the same so I’m assuming the problem is not unique to one band, but some component common to them all. It seems as if all the stations are compressed into a narrower band than the dial markings.

I’m looking for a common denominator and can see that C9, C10, C16 and C20 affect all bands. Any ideas what the issue may be?

The correct procedure for dial-tracking can be seen in these videos.
