For the most part no one has made germanium transistors in many decades. I think small signal germanium diodes like 1N60, 1N270, etc. might be made somewhere in the world. I generally avoid ebay unless there is no other way to find things. The former Soviet countries seem to have some old stock. Although they are not guaranteed to be good. Prices can be higher than they should be.
It also can be true of some semiconductors (ICs) made in the last half of the 20th century.
It may seem surprising, but it is easier to find a tube made in the 1940's than some semiconductors made in the 70s or 80s.
You can find substitute parts however. Replacements made by NTE are not too hard to find.
https://www.nteinc.com/You can try google if you can't find something at the normal locations, oddball sources pop up from time to time.
For capacitors and resistors not only Digikey but Mouser is good. They have such a wide variety however that finding just what you want can be tricky. You have to get acquainted with using their search function.
The Mouser website has seemed to be very slow loading for the last couple of years.
Sal's is a good source for the tube circuit voltage caps.
