Hello, I just recapped and checked all tubes and voltages on Wurlitzer model 506 amp from an 1100. All look good. I only have the amp that was dropped off to me. I have a large 5k ceramic resistor for the field coil and have a PM speaker on the voice coil. I am injecting audio from ipod into RCA plug on amp. Audio sounds great and very clean but have noticed the Bass and Treble POTS do not modify the sound at all. The resistors coming off each tested fine. Am I missing something with this "test" setup or should they both be working with this bench test? If yes, what should I check next? Just really wanted to test first before taking to owner since the jukebox is hours away. Thanks, Rudy

Part of the equalization circuit is in the volume control unit, so you must have that connected in order to control the full range.

Makes sense now. Thank you for the reply.
