Before I can move to the next stage of refinishing my T-60, I need to replace a good sized chunk of curved corner that was broken off from the bottom right of the cabinet (see attached photos below). I imagine there is an existing discussion about this kind on repair somewhere on this forum, but I haven't been able to come up with the correct Search keywords to find it.

My first thought is to:

    1. Fill the empty space with a ball of J-B WELD Wood Repair Brown Epoxy Putty.

    2. Shape & sand it to conform to the missing curve.

    3. Cover with a veneer patch.

Does this sound reasonable? Is there a better approach I should be considering?

Patching the veneer will be the hard part, you will need to pick up some zebra wood veneer, and use a piece much larger then where the chip is, to make a workable repair. Also keep in mind that there are a least two layers to the veneer, the layer under the zebra wood was probably maple, poplar, or some other grainless, and cheap hardwood. I think I would use a wooden block to fill the corner rather then a big blob of J.B, but bondo would also work, and is cheaper then J.B.
