Replacing all the rotted tolex on a Zenith G505 cabinet.
I found a source of tolex but I see where they call for Tolex Glue.
Stuffs pricey for what little I will use it.
Would it be okay to use contact cement?
Thanks

The fabric used on most tube type T.Os was a form of oil cloth, Tolex is more like vinyl, and the texture is different. Contact cement will work just fine, no reason to buy a fancy, and expensive glue.

Contact Cement is used by most with Tolex. I've done a few TO's and found the Light Weight Black Bronco works the best. It's thinner and folds around corners much nicer. A lot easier to work with.
