The Dutch Band, The Analogues spent a few years collecting all the analogue equipment used by the Beatles when they recorded their later albums. These song were never performed in concert by the Beatles. Then they recreated the sound using the same guitars, amps and keyboards. No digital allowed. The whole story is fascinating and the results are amazing. They nailed it!

I had no idea A Day in the Life could be performed completely live like that. I've always assumed George Martin speeded up the tapes at the end to create that orchestra crescendo at the end. If fact, I'm pretty sure that was how the recording was created.
These guys and their orchestra play it live note for note, right on the beat, well done!
