"Buddy Holly Medley" on The Chief's "I've Always Been Crazy" album is perhaps the best post Holly tribute I've ever heard, though Gary Busey's work on the film comes awful close...Was always surprised he never made a solo record himself, perhaps although an extremely talented vocalist and drummer, he wasn't much of a songwriter?
