Carl:
I've been offline for the past year - just wondering if you'd ever had a chance to play with that HRO-500 audio fix I emailed last May.
It was from Electric Radio and fixed the bad SSB audio due to a mis-wound L14 secondary in or after the IF somewhere.
Also - to alleviate drift - could one reasonably upgrade just the synthesizer's transistors, caps etc. (leaving the rest of the rig alone - except for the audio fix) - and wind up with a smooth running, reliable & high performing -500 ?
I've toyed with the idea of shipping my rig to a -500 specialist I found a while back and focusing on just those 2 upgrades.

I checked mine and a customers that was in recently for a complete overhaul.
Both were wired properly.
